Joseph Pilates developed the reformer to as a tool for rehabilitation, providing resistance and support for reconditioning the whole body. It is a powerful tool when used correctly and with precise instruction.

sāncta offers custom tower reformers from Merrithew, the gold-standard for mindful movement.

Each of our instructors has been hand selected for their professional experience in dance and movement. They possess a keen awareness of alignment, precision, and efficiency in motion — a wisdom we call kinesthetic intelligence. They lead each class with this principle, to amplify your body’s strength and flexibility in a way that is safe and supported.

Semi-private sessions offer focused, individualized instruction within an intimate shared setting. Your instructor designs each session around your body, your needs, and your goals, drawing from our full classical method and the principles of intelligent strength training. You receive the expertise of a dedicated educator while moving alongside one other client. This format is ideal for clients who want measurable advancement.

A private session at sāncta is the most direct and complete expression of what we do. Your instructor builds every session entirely around your anatomy, your history, and your goals, drawing from the full classical apparatus and a depth of knowledge grounded in biomechanics, intelligent strength training, and refined teaching method.
